{"id":309,"date":"2013-04-23T19:34:33","date_gmt":"2013-04-23T19:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tabletop.magigames.org\/?p=309"},"modified":"2013-06-29T21:59:38","modified_gmt":"2013-06-29T21:59:38","slug":"alien-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/tabletop.magigames.org\/?p=309","title":{"rendered":"Alien Plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Continuing on with porting my older Imgur articles to this new blog:<\/p>\n<p>I followed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terragenesis.co.uk\/infopages\/page533.html\" target=\"_blank\">this tutorial<\/a>\u00a0on the excellent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terragenesis.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">TerraGenesis<\/a>\u00a0site and made some alien plants from plastic drinking straws.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tabletop.magigames.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/alien_plants_w_yellow_900_web.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-308\" alt=\"alien_plants_w_yellow_900_web\" src=\"http:\/\/tabletop.magigames.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/alien_plants_w_yellow_900_web.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"373\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0painted them green, and washed them with black. \u00a0Then I based them on some wood rectangles I got at the local craft store. \u00a0I glued some sand on the bases and I was done. \u00a0Or so I thought. \u00a0They looked a bit drab, so I added the yellow to the ends and it really made them pop.<\/p>\n<p>If I was to do them again (and I will, I plan to make a bunch more) I would wash them with brown.<\/p>\n<p>It was a really quick and easy terrain project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Continuing on with porting my older Imgur articles to this new blog: I followed this tutorial\u00a0on the excellent TerraGenesis\u00a0site and made some alien plants from plastic drinking straws.
